Grace

Hi everyone! My name is Grace and I’m an incoming second year student at UC Berkeley majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Mathematics. I have over five years of experience in tutoring elementary through high school math, and have been tutoring other college students in Linear Algebra and Calculus at UC Berkeley’s Student Learning Center since the beginning of this year. While most of my tutoring experience is in math, I have also tutored students in other subjects such as writing, language arts, and science, and can help with many other subjects if needed.

My main goal of tutoring is for students to build problem solving skills that can be used in their future classes, in addition to understanding the material they are currently learning. Additionally, I try to make tutoring as engaging and interesting as possible, especially if it’s in a subject that may be boring or difficult for the student. With this in mind, I tutor students by tailoring each session to their individual needs, and by creating a positive, friendly atmosphere.

I love tutoring because I enjoy helping others succeed at achieving their academic goals in their classes. I also enjoy coming up with different tutoring strategies for each student I tutor, and sharing tips that have helped me succeed in the subjects I tutor students in.

Feel free to message me with any questions or to set up a time to meet, and I will respond within no more than a few hours. I look forward to working with you :)
